Perfection is here! We are so happy to put a male of this calibre into our breeding program. He is a show winner at the National level. He is producing show winners for example his progeny swept the juvenile white and beige female classes at AWE 2004...first, second and third! He has won Get of Sire. He won Breeders best Three! And also Bred and Owned for Snowmass! His mother Snowmass Wedding Pacabells is a Futurity champion. His father is Accoyo Legacy who is now the $1.5 million male! This is significant to us because Al chose Legacy in Peru in 1996 for the partnership with Snowmass Alpacas at that time and Al also brookered the deal to get Peruvian Don Julio, Perfection's grandfather, back to Australia in 1997. At that time Jodie Sleeper the US alpaca judge called Peruvian Don Julio " the perfect alpaca". Genetics don't lie! That makes Perfection an Allianza/Accoyo mix..the best of the best.
For us Snowmass Perfection represents everything we like in a huacaya. Jude judges thousands of alpaca all over the US and overseas every year. She thinks Perfection is the densest and finest six year old huacaya male she has seen. He was born July 2000 but still is only 19.7 micron. He has the density to go with it that is always hard to get. We cannot wait to get his follicular density biopsy report back because just to the eye and the hand he shows off a density we have not seen in this micron range before. Snowmass Alpacas tested twelve of his progeny ,they averaged 16.34 micron! Another thing we love about this boy apart from the vitality and sheen of his fleece is his build. He's built like a linebacker. A lightheavy weight with width of chest, spring of rib, lovely stretch and solid strongly built legs that move in a graceful gait. As any herdsire should he diplays oodles of constitutional vigor. He's ready to go any time he's called. But he's also easy to handle. There is nothing weak in this boy's background. Perhaps indeed Perfection has arrived!
